Where are you located?

Devils Lake, ND

Do you travel?

Travel is limited, but yes. Anything beyond 15 minutes of Devils Lake will incur a travel fee. 

What is your photography style?

My style is simple, family-centered, emotive, authentic. My sessions are fun, laid back, and relatively fast paced to keep everyone engaged! I never force kids to sit still to get the “perfect shot”. Every session is different because each family is different. 

Where do sessions take place? 

Indoor sessions take place weekdays, during mid-day, at my backyard studio

Outdoor sessions take place on weekdays at or approximately 1 hour prior to Sunset or 1 hour after Sunrise- when the sun shines its best soft and dreamy light. I’m a lover of natural background texture and areas that allow me to also capture the sun setting- the location I choose for your session will typically be a wooded area with beautiful trees and tall grass or perhaps an open field with wildflowers.

Most sessions take place within Devils Lake City Limits or within 15 miles of Devils Lake. If you're wanting your session photographed at a specific location, please reach out! I am always up for a new location adventure. Mileage fees may apply depending on the distance.  

How are images delivered? What is your turnaround time? 

You can expect your fully edited, high resolution, digital photos to be delivered within 4 weeks via an online gallery. You will receive printing rights and printing recommendations from Brandi.  

RAW/unedited images are not released or delivered to clients. 

How many images do I receive? Can I print them?

Make sure to check out the investment page for specific package details! 

When you receive your final gallery of digital images, you will receive printing rights to all images. You can print wherever you’d like. Brandi will offer printing recommendations. 

Do I have to use your client closet wardrobe?

Absolutely not. The closet wardrobe is meant to make the session experience as stress free and easy and possible for you, along with being a time and money saver as well (face it, typically the clothes you purchase for a photo session you only wear once). 

Should clients choose not to utilize the client closet wardrobe, we will still communicate via text/email to coordinate outfits that will make you look and feel your best and that will also fit with Brandi’s photography/editing style. 

What type of sessions do you photograph?

I specialize in family, maternity, newborn, and milestone sessions. 
Senior sessions, extended family sessions, branding/headshot sessions, and boudoir sessions are offered on a limited basis depending upon availability. 

WHAT IF I'm LATE?

I DO NOT offer more time or reschedule due to being late. If you are late, we will shoot for the remainder of the session time, but no longer. If you are more than 15 minutes late and have not communicated with me, the session will be canceled. 

What if my kids don’t behave? 

What if your kids cry? Well mama, you’ll console them, just like you would any other time. What if they “misbehave”? What kid doesn’t? Kids will be kids. We can’t guarantee that they will smile the entire time. I have tricks up my sleeve to try to get them naturally engaged; however, I do not offer reshoots if children or other family members don’t “cooperate”. If a child is not feeling well, it’s very important to reschedule to a time when they are more “themselves”. Make sure to have kiddos well fed and rested if possible, this helps tremendously! 

Do you offer wedding packages? 

Currently I do not offer wedding packages, but I can refer you to some amazing photographers who do!

What if someone is sick or the weather is bad? 

It’s impossible to capture anyone’s true personality if they are sick. Life happens- please reach out as soon as possible if you are not feeling well and we will reschedule. 
I’m kind of picky about the weather. If it’s partly cloudy, that’s no problem; however, for heavily overcast evenings I will likely reach out to reschedule. I will not shoot in the rain, snow, or sleet so as to not damage my equipment. If the wind is greater than 20-25mph, we will also reschedule. Part of being happy with your photos is having a great session experience. I will not make kids tough out cold weather or try to dodge a rainstorm. I want your experience to be fun and relaxed. If the forecast isn’t looking favorable, I will be in contact with you the day of your session about the plans for the session.

Do you offer payment plans? 

Yes! Please inquire if you’d like to have a payment plan set up!

Do you offer discounts? 

I completely understand that this is a big expense and that we all have different budgets and financial situations. However, due to my cost of running a business & the amount of preparation and effort that goes into planning, executing, and editing my sessions, I can not charge any less than what I do. 
Payment plans are available upon request. 


How do I book?

What do I need to bring? Do you use props?

My style is very simple-- I want the focus of your session to be on you and your family. I have a small selection of high quality props for younger kiddos (buckets, chairs) that I utilize for milestone sessions; however for the most part, I only use a large blanket for outdoor sessions and my studio furniture for indoor sessions. Additionally, for studio sessions, I have a beautiful collection of blankets, wraps and layers, headbands and bonnets for newborns, as well as outfits for babies, infants and children, and the complimentary client closet that is available to the rest of the family as well. 

I keep supplies that you are also welcome to use, at my studio as well: diapers, wipes, lotion, deodorant, diaper cream, fingernail polish remover along with a small selection of snacks and water. 

Do you deliver RAW images? 

I do not, under any circumstances, release RAW images to clients.
